CBT (Compulsory Basic Training)

All Motorcyclists and Moped Riders from age 16 must complete a CBT course before riding on the Road.This Motorcycle   Rider Training Course is designed to take you from a complete Beginner to a Standard that will allow you to be Safe and Enjoy Riding in most Traffic Conditions.This will take a Full Day or more if you need it at no extra cost you do not need any previous experience or training to do this course.

Off- Road Training: After an explanatory talk followed by an eyesight check you will be familiarised with the Bike so that you can bring your Control Levels up to a point that you can handle it confidently in a variety of Manoeuvering and Signalling Techniques.

 On-Road Riding: A Briefing in the Theory of Riding on the Road is followed by a Supervised run with you Radio Linked to your Instuctor.It's a Training Session not a Test.When you have reached a Safe Standard they will give you a CBT Certificate which Validates your Licence and lasts for 2 Years.For more information go to www.direct.gov.uk/cbt.

Module 1 Test 

We have our own  full size Indoor Training and Test Area for this new part of the Test.We are experiencing a demand from people having difficulties training elsewhere for this so we have put in place a Stand Alone Course for you to pass this Test (conditions apply).Please contact us for details.

Full Licence Courses 

Restricted Licence.

Essentially you will do your Lessons and sit your Test on a 125cc Bike.You must be at least 17 for this course it does mean that you are resricted to riding a Bike that produces no more than 33bhp for 2 years .Once that time is up you do not need to take another Test you can then ride any Size and Power of Bike.

Direct Access (DAS).

Another way to gain your full Licence is through a Direct Access course.However this is only available to those over 21 years of age.Lessons and Test will be taken on a 500 or 600cc Bike to suit your Schedule.When you Pass your Test you can then ride any Bike your Dreams and Bank Balance will allow.

Course Requirements

To make sure your Motorcycle Lesson are enjoyable and go smoothly you must have your Licence with you.Both Photo Card and Paper counterfoil or older style Licence and Valid Passport are necessary and Insurance certificate if you are using your own Road Legal Bike.You can get full Information on Licencing at www.direct.gov.uk/driving .You must have a knowledge of The Highway Code www.direct.gov.uk/highwaycode but you do not need a Theory Test pass to begin training.You must be able to read a Number Plate at a distance of 20.5 metres.You should have sensible Clothing,Gloves,Boots and Waterproofs with you.We will supply you with a Helmet but we advise you to have your own good fitting Helmet if possible we have a range available in our Shop.It is essential that Courses start on time so make sure you arrive before they are due to start.
